Her Voice – April
The sixth play in the Her Voice series is a free professional reading of Mother of Exiles by Elaine Romero.
Monday, April 16th at 7PM at the ASU Kerr Cultural Center.

SYNOPSIS: “Mother of Exiles” is about a Latina woman who teaches on the Arizona-Mexico border. This play marks the second installment in a trilogy about the border and social justice. Themes revolve around gun violence, ideas and their effects and fear. Elaine Romero resides in Tucson, AZ and is an award-winning playwright and assistant professor in the UA School of Theatre, Film & Television.

The Bridge Initiative: Women in Theatre is thrilled to host Her Voice, a monthly play reading and music series running October 2017 to April 2018 in collaboration with the ASU Kerr Cultural Center in Scottsdale. Capitalizing on the ASU Kerr’s professional sound, lighting and technical talent, we will feature new works presented by local musicians, directors and actors.
