The Bridge Cabaret Season Kicks Off with “Leaning In”

Last Monday, The Bridge Cabaret kicked off its new season with a special event called “Leaning In.” The event featured four talented singers, Amie Bjorklund, Elizabeth Brownlee, Brenda Jean Foley, and pianist Andria Fennig, performing old standards and new favorites by writers from George & Ira Gershwin to Jeanine Tesori and Stephen Sondheim that celebrate female friendship, empowerment, and leadership journeys.

All four singers have New York and touring credits and are regulars on Valley stages including Arizona Theatre Company, The Phoenix Theatre Company, and Don Bluth Front Row Theatre. Fennig’s piano performance background features solo performance, chamber music, and pit orchestra work for touring Broadway shows and national concerts at Carnegie Hall.

We were also lucky to have E.E. Moe, Natalie Andrews, and Brian Foley join us with their many talents.

The event was a huge success, with a sold-out crowd enjoying the beautiful music and inspiring stories. In addition to the performances, the evening also included a piano bar and song share, where audience members were invited to sing along with Andria and ASU Kerr’s gorgeous Steinway.

The Bridge Cabaret is thrilled to be working with ASU Kerr again this season, and we encourage everyone to come out and experience the magic of live music and theater for themselves. The next cabaret event is scheduled for December 4th, so mark your calendars and come early to sing with us!
